Invisalign.

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment using custom-made clear aligner trays as opposed to the traditional metal braces. The series of aligner trays are uniquely made to continue shifting and moving your teeth. Unlike metal braces, clear aligners can be removed, but they must be worn for most of your day. VELscope technology.

The VELscope device is an imaging modality based on tissue fluorescence as opposed to reflect.. In combination with intraoral and extraoral exams, the VELscope device emits harmless, blue light that is sensitive to abnormal tissue changes. Fluorescence patterns of healthy tissue may be visibly disrupted when tissue undergoes changes observed in dysplasia or oral cancer.

Digital x-rays.

Digital x-rays, or digital radiography, use an electronic sensor to capture X-ray images, as opposed to traditional X-ray film that involves much more radiation exposure. Digital x-rays do not require film processing and can be viewed instantly while you are in the chair. X-rays are vital tools for detecting cavities, bone or gum loss, periodontal disease, and much more.

 

Panorex films.

A panorex is an extraoral x-ray that privdes a full view of the upper and lower jaws, teeth, temporomandibular joints (TMJs) and sinuses. Panorex films have several uses: orthodontic assessments, diagnosis of wisdom teeth impaction, diagnosis of advanced periodontal disease, assessing the TMJ, and detecting oral cancer.

Intraoral camera.

Digital intraoral cameras are a valuable tool for case documentation and for helping patients see their smiles change with the appropriate treatment. Our intraoral camera can help visualize something as small as a fractured tooth or as dramatic as teeth shifting with orthodontic treatment.

 

Cephalometric analysis.

Cephalometry is a scientific measure of the dimensions of the head using extraoral cephalometric radiographs. Cephalometric analysis helps dentists and orthodontists plan treatments based on relationships between bony and soft tissue landmarks.
